IBAI has been granted the status of an RTO (Registered Training Organisation)

IBAI has been granted the status of an RTO (Registered Training Organisation) – A step forward towards strengthening the Australian Muslim Community.

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Melbourne, March 21, 2017. In a step forward towards strengthening the Australian Muslim community by developing leadership skills among its youth, the Institute of Believe, Achieve &Inspire (IBAI) is pleased to announce that it has been granted the status of REGISTERED TRAINING ORGANISATION (RTO). This means that IBAI will now be able to:

1) Issue nationally-recognised VET qualifications and statements of attainment
2) Formally recognise qualifications and accredited training issued by other RTOs
3) Be listed on the national vocational education and training register of authorised training organisations in Australia

“We have been operating since 2009 collaborating with the other institutes to issue certificates to our students completing BAILP (Believe, Achieve & Inspire Leadership Program). However, that arrangement has not always provided ideal outcomes for our students. Now, as an RTO, InshaAllah, we will be able to have a more direct and effective way of recognizing our students’ efforts by issuing nationally-recognised VET qualifications and statements of attainment.” Umar Batchelor, CEO, IBAI. “This new milestone is expected to strengthen BAILP’s (one of IBAI’s programs) position and recognition among the Muslim Community”. He added, “This is just a one step forward, and we are hopeful that with Allah’s will, this institute will ultimately grow into one of the most sophisticated Leadership and Management institutes in Australia”.

“Our program in Leadership and Management will allow Muslim youth to get a threefold benefit; firstly an opportunity to get a good grounding in leadership and management, secondly to understand leadership from an Islamic perspective, using historical and contemporary examples from qualified instructors, and thirdly, to gain a VET nationally recognized qualification. The combination will help our participants to practically use their gained knowledge in their professional and personal life”, he said.

IBAI define Leadership as: Leadership is the process of applying a set of character traits, skills and behavioural qualities that can be developed or enhanced. The better are the leadership qualities of a person, the more effective this person is in his life and the more impact this person can make in the life. Therefore, it is essential that the leadership must be ‘ethical’, which is directed with respect to Islamic values, ethical standards and for the dignity and rights of others.
